This is a quick post without a long recipe. I just had an idea today after making some plain old mac 'n cheese for lunch. So I added a few things to it for dinner. Here are some suggestions for converting plain old macaroni and cheese into a really great dinner dish.
- Heat up the mac 'n cheese on the stove and add between two and four tablespoons of condensed milk to the pasta dish.
- Add mozzarella, cheddar, and any other cheese you like.
- Stir until it's melted and cheese and milk are incorporated into pasta.
- Add spices like ground black pepper, paprika, salt, and some herbs like chives and dill to taste.
- Cut a tomato (or two) into thin slices and layer it over the mac 'n cheese.
- Put some more shredded cheeses on top of the tomatoes and drizzle with a bit of olive oil.
- Add any leftover meats you might have. Bacon or chicken work well.
- Put the mixture into an oven-safe bowl or pan and bake on 400F for 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve with a salad and you've got a nice, quick dinner.
